Baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit, we live with Christ in our hearts.

Let us read and listen to the Word of God, which calls us and equips us to love and live a life of good works.

  • Confirmation creed - Written by the Confirmation Class of 2018 at PRC

We belive in god

God is great, wonderful, holy and loving. We see God in the lands that God has created. God is with us everywhere and God is there for everybody. We may not always see God or hear God, but we believe in the promise of Psalm 46:5 “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”

God has a purpose for everyone. God helps us understand who we are and who we want to be. God has given each and every one of us a gift. We see God in people who are selfless and kind. Confirmation is just one of many steps in our faith journey, the beginning of finding our purpose in God.

We beliEve in JESUS

We believe Jesus came to tell us that our world needs to change. Jesus Christ is there for us, and having been human, Jesus can understand our fears and weaknesses. The sacrifice of Jesus is the ultimate example of love.

We experience God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ and God’s forgiveness is a source of comfort. It allows us to forgive ourselves. No soul is embedded with evil; it is merely a stain yet to be cleaned. We don’t believe that we should take God’s forgiveness for granted but that when we sin, we need to be truly sorry and work hard not to repeat those sinful behaviors.

The church

There are millions of God’s disciples. Some might feel small, but to God we are great! We believe God gives you people when you need them. We feel like we have a family here at the church. And a family is always there for its members and will be ready to help, even if you are slow to ask for it.

Regardless of where the physical church may be, the church family is something we can hold close to us. The church strives to be welcoming, the church can be a second home for us.

The gift of faith in difficult times

Sometimes, we find it hard to understand why the world is cruel. That the broken hearts in the world held together by nothing more than thin, frayed thread is pulled out stitch by stitch with ease. Everyone’s “Life Song” may have some pain or hardship, and that can make it tough not to question.  We wonder, why does God allow bad things happen to ”good” people? Why doesn’t God answer our prayers for help?

We believe that we are allowed to feel like God isn’t there. We believe God does not give us what we can handle but God helps us handle what we are given. Let us never forget the light within ourselves which comes from our faith to help guide us through the troubles of life.

But with God, we can breathe again, God gives us peace. When we close our eyes, we can see the walls of our church, like open arms, an embodiment of love itself. Singing hymns and songs of the Bible stories will spread lessons to all of us, ranging from children to adults using the melody as a way to encapsulate the people.

We look for God’s guidance to show us the way and when we have to get through something difficult. We take comfort in knowing that we don’t have to take on challenges alone.

our calling

We are children of God who respect everyone and everything. We have accepted the fact that everyone that we meet and see will not be the same as you and me.

When we are living our lives for God we have passion and devotion and it gives our lives meaning. God’s Holy Spirit motivates us to do good things and help people.

We need to help each other out, to care for each other, and be selfless. By the grace of God, we will follow God’s paths and walk in God’s ways.

We must remember to allow ourselves to believe. To believe that with God, we are never truly alone. To recognize within ourselves that God is with us. To believe that God gives us peace, gives us hope, gives us strength. AMEN!

  • DECLARATION

Prayers of THANKSGIVING AND INTERCESSION     …ending with The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
