CALL TO WORSHIP
We gather to share in our love for God.
Lord God, open our hearts and let us share your Good News.
We also gather here to proclaim God’s goodness.
Lord God, let our voices, prayers and songs bring praise today.
We do indeed gather to praise God whose love is eternal.
Lord God, bless us to not only offer praise but move our lives to bear witness to you through our serving and helping others.

Lord God, we have sinned against you and one another.

Please Lord God, forgive us our transgressions…

GOD’S PEOPLE RESPOND
THE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
-prayers for those in nursing homes, shut-ins, and the elderly
-prayers for our young people and children
-A contemporary version of the Lord’s Prayer adapted from the prayer book
of the Anglican Church of New Zealand.
Eternal God, source of all that is and ever shall be. Loving Parent in whom we
discern heaven, may knowledge of your holiness inspire all peoples. And may
your commonwealth of peace and freedom flourish on earth. Until all of
humankind heed your call to justice and compassion. May we find the bread
that we need for today. And for the hurts we cause one another, may we be
forgiven in the same measure that we forgive. In times of trial and temptation,
help us be strong; when life seems overwhelming, help us to endure; and thus
from the burden of sin deliver us. May you reign in the power of human love,
now and forever, Amen.
